Case Study - PFAS Destruction in Drinking Water
Invicta Water sourced water directly from the tap in Burlington, North Carolina. The water is found to be contaminated with ~30 ppt total PFAS, including 10-12 ppt PFOA and PFOS, the EPA’s two recently designated hazardous substances.
Key Results
- Invicta Water successfully destroyed all PFAS straight from the tap to non-detect levels using EPA-approved testing methods ASTM 1633 and ASTM D8421/EPA8327.
- After running the tap water through the Invicta Water system, the drinking water was now at safe levels per the EPA’s drinking water rules established in April 2024 under the Safe Drinking Water Act.
- No media, membranes, or filters were used nor were any toxic waste or other byproducts created as part of the Invicta Water process.
